On weak Christians

Christ Lives! In Him I Trust!

St Augustine’s [ 354 – 430 A.D. ] sermon On Pastors

You have failed to strengthen the weak, says the Lord. He is speaking to wicked shepherds, false shepherds, shepherds who seek their own concerns and not those of Christ. They enjoy the bounty of milk and wool, but they take no care at all of the sheep, and they make no effort to heal those who are ill. I think there is a difference between one who is weak (that is, not strong) and one who is ill, although we often say that the weak are also suffering from illness.
My brothers, when I try to make that distinction, perhaps I could do it better and with greater precision, or perhaps someone with more experience and insight could do so. But when it comes to the words of Scripture, I say what I think so that in the meantime…

IMPORTANT NOTE: Keep in mind, you as a Christian, Catholic or other denomination in life are not obligated to believe in mystics and seers.

They too make mistakes.  Their wisdom if chosen by God should not be overlooked but studied.

If this is too intense then dont read the material. Put your trust in the Good Lord. He will guide you with or without this information. On the other hand it would be of benefit to read this work so you have more knowledge.

Love in Christ brothers and sisters and pick up those crosses and continue the long rocky climb to Salvation.

BLOGGER’S DISCLAIMER:  I can’t advise you in any way about the remedies at the end of this book that is for you to decide at your discretion.

What is a Theologian?

Catholic Teen Apologetics

Aquinas pic

So the other day, a few friends of mine and I were walking around campus when we came across one of the priests. He and I know each other, so I stopped to talk to him. We talked for a second and I introduced my friends. As it so happens, I was with several other Theology majors. Now, this priest gets a real kick out of asking questions to see what people are thinking. He decided to quiz us to see if we were all REALLY Theology majors. He posed a simple question:

“What is a theologian?” he asked. “Define that term.”

You guys should have seen the look on Father Hart’s face as we tried (in vain) to define “theologian”.

“Well, a theologian is one who studies religion,” answered one of my friends. Father shook his head.

“Okay, then. A theologian is one who studies God,” offered another friend…

Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Unapologetically Catholic

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe has been the subject of numerous technical studies since 1751 and extensive scientific investigations in recent years, and none of the result offered any sound scientific explanation which, up to this very day, defies science and all human reasoning as it continuous to baffle scientists and even skeptics.

Below are only some of the findings that were drawn from the scientific investigations conducted on the image and the fabric itself which were commissioned by the authorized custodians of the Tilma in the Basilica, and in every case the investigators had direct and unobstructed access to it:

The Fabric

The “Tilma” (a kind of cloak worn by native Mexicans) of Juan Diego that bears the miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a coarse fabric made from the threads of the maguey cactus fiber which usually lasts no more than 20 to…

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
