Cardinal George Pell:  Even if I wasn’t a Catholic my intellect knowing the facts presented leads me to believe Cardinal Pell is innocent of charges.

Can anyone say with a straight face that if Imam Abdul were the subject of a Royal Commission investigation that he would be treated the same way Cardinal Pell has been?

No fair-minded person wants to see guilty priests—or anyone else—get away with any offense, much less the sexual abuse of minors. But justice demands that the accused, including those charged with heinous crimes, be entitled to a presumption of innocence. The evidence shows that Cardinal George Pell has not been afforded this elementary right, and has indeed been a victim of a war against him.”

“The Texas couple has neither federal nor state law on its side. Catholic non-profits such as Catholic Charities can receive public funds distributed to the bishops’ conference and go about their business—in this case running a foster care program—without crossing state and church lines, provided they do not engage in “intrinsically religious” activities, e.g. religious worship. Last year, Texas passed a religious liberty law that safeguards the right of agencies like Catholic Charities to turn away LGBT couples or prospective parents.

It is important to note that Catholic Charities Fort Worth expressly said, contrary to what was reported, that it does not refuse children in its foster care program who identify as LGBT. But it does matter who the foster parents are.”

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  As they used to say, “Silly Rabbit, its for kids.” Religion is where the moral high ground pretty much comes into play and originated.  I’m sure the ancient Philosophers would have agreed as well.

“A poll by the Pew Research Center found that a record share of Americans now think it is not necessary to believe in God to be moral. Fully 56 percent agree with this conviction, while 42 percent do not.

Regarding the first survey, we know from many studies that there is a positive correlation between religion and well being. For example, the more religious a person is, the healthier and happier that person tends to be.

“Censoring speech, religion, and traditions is the mark of a totalitarian society, not a democratic one. But as Tocqueville instructed, there are times when the passion for equality in democratic nations turns to “delirium,” and when that appetite is abetted by administrative centralization, it inexorably leads to despotism.

That is the conversation we should be having.”

President Donald Trump and Pope Francis smiling?

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  I guess “fake news” does it again.  The serious picture they talk about can be explained below from the Catholic League.  Looks to me like they look pretty happy about the world to me.  You big liberal news outlets might want to get it right?

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  I agree with this summation and I also take full responsibility to that I may have participated somewhat in the spirit of liberalism in this country against the grain and fine line of moral values.  Hopefully in my maturity I can help in a small way to correct this and I hope my blogging is part of that solution.  To inform and educate.

Madalyn Murray O’Hair, Founder of American Atheists

“Alan Wolfe is a left-wing atheist who saw right through O’Hair. He recalls her as being “dictatorial, irresponsible, racist, overbearing, corrupt, anti-Semitic, homophobic, anti-Catholic and at times criminal.” She was all that and more.”

“Marxist-Inspired Band of Totalitarians”

“People Before Profit is organizing this event. It is a Marxist-inspired band of pro-totalitarian, pro-abortion, and anti-Catholic fanatics. Unlike commentators such as Niall O’Dowd of Irish Central, who routinely make unsubstantiated accusations, I cite data. So here it is.”

“In other words, the protest is being led by those who hate democracy, like abortion, and hate the Catholic Church. What is worse is the refusal of commentators, politicians, and activists to condemn them for their wholly indefensible positions. They are either gutless or supportive of them.”

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  If you think this a biased Catholic story then I suggest you look up what the Catholic League reported and research it yourself.

“That’s the story. If there were “mass graves,” not only would the official statement mention it, but so would Katherine Zappone TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs; she issued her formal remarks today. She says absolutely nothing about any “mass graves.” Moreover, when the government’s Interim Report was issued on July 12, 2016, it also made no mention of “mass graves.”

Living the Truth the Church Teaches

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
