About Us

“In late July 2018, a small group of Catholic laymen gathered to discuss the Theodore McCarrick sex scandal. A mixture of emotions was in the room that day: sorrow, frustration, anger, disappointment and disgust. How was it that Theodore McCarrick had been allowed to abuse so many young men over multiple decades?

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishop’s 2002 Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People was a failure, possibly by design. The bishops had consciously removed themselves from the scope of the “zero tolerance” policy. Since then, they have allowed the moral rot in the hierarchy to fester. It was clear to us that the Catholic bishops could no longer be trusted to police themselves. We became convinced that a laity-led initiative was required to cleanse the Church and establish a culture of accountability.

This website is our first contribution towards working to cleanse the Church. Its objective is to identify bishops who knew (or should have known) about McCarrick’s actions and to demand that they resign or be removed from office.

Because of our vocations, roles and responsibilities, we have decided to keep identity anonymous at this time. Additional initiatives are planned to be rolled-out over time. We entrust our efforts to the patron saint of the United States, Mary our Mother. Mary, Queen of the Church, please pray for us.”

Vatican-Shot-for-500px-1600-1500x893

“The first response, issued by the Vatican press office on October 6, was a notice that Pope Francis, “aware of and concerned by the confusion that these accusations are causing in the conscience of the faithful,” was taking further steps to investigate the scandal.

Confusion? Who is confused? The statement attributes the “confusion” to the “accusations regarding the conduct” of McCarrick. Actually there is very little confusion on that score; there is now a good deal of testimony about the former cardinal’s behavior. And the public responses to that testimony is not so much confusion as outrage: righteous anger.

If there is confusion about the case, it is due to the conflicting claims over how the Vatican responded to the revelations about McCarrick’s misconduct. The Vatican statement feeds any such confusion, by creating the impression that the problem first came to light a few short weeks ago. There is no acknowledgment that in fact the Vatican was made aware of McCarrick’s homosexual escapades at least 15 years ago. Nor is there an acknowledgment that before Pope Francis ordered McCarrick to remove himself from public life, Pope Benedict XVI had already issued the same sort of order, only to see it flouted by the American prelate and then (if Archbishop Vigano’s charge is accurate) rescinded by Pope Francis.”

Question: Do you think PA District Attorney Josh Shapiro is a friend of the Catholic Church? Remnant Underground’s Michael J. Matt not only steps outside the box but also smashes it to bits as he analyses what’s really going on with the clerical sex abuse crisis. What is the Viganò Effect? How do Vatican II and the New Mass come into this? With the Catholic Church clearly occupied, should faithful Catholics just join the lynch mob? What’s a faithful Catholic to do? There’s more to this…much more. Watch this video and share it far and wide. (Includes video clips of Archbishop Viganò, Josh Shapiro and….Van Halen?) Truth2Freedom's Blog

"There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
