New Culture Forum | So What You’re Saying Is

Pope Francis’s disastrous record includes betraying suppressed Chinese Catholics, failure on sex abuse, and surrounding himself with disreputable characters who are causing immense damage to the Church, claims conservative commentator Charles Coloumbe on this week’s #SWYSI.

As for his native land, people would be shocked to discover what a controversial figure Francis is today in Argentina, argues Charles — suggesting this might explain why he has yet to return there. These are a few of the many failings of Pope Francis according to Traditional Catholic Charles Coulombe. For Charles, the basic premise of the Netflix production “The Two Popes”, namely that Pope Francis was more saintly than Benedict XVI, reversed reality.

Turning to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Charles argues that Meghan, willingly and knowingly entered a system (the Royal Family) that she neither liked nor believed in — and proceeded to try to change it and completely transform Prince Harry. “If you don’t like it, don’t do it!”.

Charles believes that, for all her many faults, even The Duchess of Windsor (Wallace Simpson) would have made a better job of this than Meghan has. This is because The Duchess of Windsor believed in the institution of Monarchy and understood the role — a role she craved.

As an American Trad Catholic Monarchist from liberal Los Angeles, conservative commentator Charles Coulombe’s traditionalism has been forged and tested at the coal face. This — along with his early career as a stand-up comic — may explain his successes in public debates and as a columnist and contributing editor for publications such as the National Catholic Register. He frequently contributes to publications including the Catholic Herald, American Thinker and New Oxford Review.

Charles is the author of over 15 books primarily on British and European Monarchy & Catholicism but also on the pleasure of alcohol, titles include: “Vicars of Christ: History of the Popes”; “The Star Spangled Crown: A Simple Guide To The American Monarchy”; and “The Legacy of Pope Benedict XVI”.

Charles Coulombe has his own YouTube podcast, TUMBLAR HOUSE, which may be visited via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiYN…

President Donald Trump and Pope Francis smiling?

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  I guess “fake news” does it again.  The serious picture they talk about can be explained below from the Catholic League.  Looks to me like they look pretty happy about the world to me.  You big liberal news outlets might want to get it right?

Yesterday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican. The President said it was the “Honor of a lifetime.”

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  This blogger has been hearing a bunch of baloney about Donald and Melania throwing off some bad “vibes” during their trip to Rome.  This sure doesn’t look fake to me.

With ‘wars and rumors of wars’ dominating news of Syria and Russia, wouldn’t the 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions in Fatima have been a good occasion for the visiting Pope Francis to obey the Mother of God and consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart? Pope Francis didn’t think so. Instead he dragged Our Lady onto the Mercy Express and ignored her requests completely. Question of the year: If Syrian President Assad is ‘gassing his own people’, why do the two million Christians in Syria support him? Michael Matt discusses this and the canonization of Jacinta and Francisco–two of the three seers of Fatima.

Father Arturo Sosa, Jesuit

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  The Catholic Priesthood doesn’t belong to this world.  It is not a job title it is a vocation.  It has no relation to the worldly realm.  It does not belong to male or female because of the fact that it pesonifies a male—Jesus Christ.

It is bestowed on those who are male with no prejudice to females.  Males are In Personae Christi.  (In the Person of Christ. )  Satan maybe trying very hard to persuade the Church for this change but the Lord isn’t.

In the first quote below St. Anthony tells us how in these times we will “surrender to the spirit of the age”, thinking we must change the church to suit our time.  We must not change what He has decreed.  I beseech all of us to not “surrender to the age” and hold fast to His truths.

“St. Anthony of the Desert (4th Century) “Men will surrender to the spirit of the age.  The will say that if they had lived in our day, Faith would be simple and easy.  But in their day, they will say, things are complex; the Church must be bought up to date and made meaningful to the day’s problems.  When the Church and the World are one, then those days are at hand.  Because our Divine Master placed a barrier between His things and the things of this world.”

In the second quote below it is answered by non-Catholic Elworthy herself as to one reason why we cannot ordain women.  In a mysterious way the Catholic Church is a Supernatural Bride of the Bridegroom—- Jesus Christ.

The professions she mentioned are of the world.

The Catholic Church is in the world but not of it.  The Magesterial Priesthood is not the world it is in the world of Christ.

“At the conference, Elworthy voiced her sadness that the Church wasn’t more like other institutions when it comes to female collaboration. “All the major institutions that we live with now; the military, politics, business, even banking, have all acknowledged, and used and allowed to populate the top (positions) with females. And I’m just really sad that there’s this restriction in the Catholic Church.”

Living the Truth the Church Teaches

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
