Look I’m no expert but I have lived through the “Live In Period” which we call formerly as co-habitation and let me tell you one thing I noticed and the words are known as fad and peer pressure. I’m sure many of you will tell me I’m old-fashioned and foolish in my thinking.  I humbly disagree.  I’ve seen the hook-up culture and much of what it has now led society to and into our distant future.  I leave this for the next generations seeking what their faith teaches.

Even our parents who believed at one time in marriage started believing that co-habitation is alright.  Well it’s not necessarily so.  We as Christians must re-discover the Church teaching and educate ourselves in our ignorance.  The world is trying to push all of us  into worldly things which are anathema to Jesus Christ and what He wants best for Christians.

Dont go down this path but try to carry your cross as best you can.  I’m not condoning abuse in any form but please try to find guidance in Christ and His teachings. Trust in Him.  It’s not easy and He said it wouldn’t be.

One thing I can tell you is this I almost bought into the sub-culture we have today. The new so-called family life and values.  I have sinned and I’m aware of the toll it takes on oneself  and the struggle to fit into this society which is leading to and forming the Culture of Death.  The “New Norm” as they are beginning to call it.

It is because were too hard pressed to discover what the church has to provide in this area.  We have become complacent and less believing in Christ when it comes to our own personal lives.  We trust more in ourselves and less in Him when it comes to the great decisions we face everyday.  Decisions we should share with Him.  We no longer ask Him for guidance and succumb to the fact that He is guiding our ways.

His will, not ours.   Now the above is an article from a professional and this small article I type is for simple folk like myself.  Both I think are important to note and ponder on and add to in wisdom.

If you’re a young Catholic I urge you and even some of you who have left and are thinking of coming back to the fold, study our faith and learn from earlier generations what we have done wrong.

Co-habitation in my opinion is a fad that went wrong.  I do not judge anyone for their habits now and in the past.  This is just a commentary and observation on my part. Its up to you to form a clear and concise conscience in this world.  Many of us and all of us who follow Christ must do so with His help in regard to this forming of conscience.
