Holy Thursday (He has risen, He has risen Im getting ahead of the story but you all are in on the secret.) the start of the Holy Day’s and our Lord’s Passion and Resurrection.

His day’s as I call them leading up to our Salvation. He wore a robe from the Centurion’s back in the old days and I got a pretty new yellow coat and dress for Easter some year’s ago.

He got the Robe out of ridicule and I got the dress because I thought it was pretty and my parents wanted it so. Im sure they, my parents understood very well the implications of this season. I did not quite fully understand yet.

Now I think of that beautiful outfit and remember that I was frivolous then. I think of His Robe and the price He paid to wear His robe. I got the new dress because of Him. To honor Him at Mass. My new finery symbolized was His New Salvation for me. I honor Him now with heart and soul as an imperfect human being. One who calls out for redemption for me and others who are called to the Supper of the Lamb.

We mustn’t forget Him but remind ourselves like we do when we purchase our new finery for Easter Day. He is our finery for our Salvation History and Easter.

I invite you to take up His Robe, the best finery He had to offer us as the King at the time and His Cross which we must take up with no reservations.

Remember He has refined us for a new day and His Second Coming someday.

So think of Him this week and try to ponder Him in the coming days as you prepare to wear your new beautiful Easter dress and finery. Its your gift to Him.

Love in Christ and Happy Easter!
