s-l1000“It is also necessary to note that at that time the abuse was limited to a few European countries, so much so that it was not yet started in the United States and Latin America. Pope Paul VI then promulgated, May 28, 1969, the document ‘MEMORIALE DOMINI’ (http://www.ewtn.com/library/curia/cdwmemor.htm) in which he stated verbatim: ‘The bishops of the world are unanimously opposed to Communion in the hand. It must be observed this way of distributing Communion, that the priest must put the Host on the tongue of the communicants. Communion on the tongue does not take away dignity in any way from those who receive Holy Communion. Every innovation can lead to irreverence and profanation of the Eucharist, as well as gradually corroding the correct doctrine ‘. The document also stated: ‘The Supreme Pontiff judged that the traditional and ancient way of administering Communion to the faithful must not be changed. The Apostolic See therefore strongly urges bishops, priests and the people to observe zealously this law’.”

The hidden sacrament is revealed:

There is, brethren, one God, the knowledge of whom we gain from the Holy Scriptures and from no other source. Whatever things the Holy Scriptures declare, at these let us look; and whatever they teach, let us learn it; and as the Father wills our belief to be, let us believe; and as he wills the Son to be glorified, let us glorify him; and as he wills the Holy Spirit to be bestowed, let us receive him. Not according to our own will, nor according to our own mind, nor yet storming by force the things which are given by God, but even as he has chosen to teach them by the Holy Scriptures, so let us discern them.
God, subsisting alone, and having nothing coeval with himself, chose to create the world. And conceiving the world in mind, and willing and uttering the Word, he made it; and at once it appeared, formed it in the way he desired. For us it is sufficient simply to know that nothing was coeval with God. Outside him there was nothing; but he, while existing alone, yet existed in plurality. For he did not lack reason, or wisdom, or power, or counsel. All things were in him, and he was the All. At a time and in a manner chosen by him he made his Word manifest, and through his Word he made all things.
He bears this Word in himself, as yet invisible to the created world. He makes him visible, uttering the voice first, and begetting him as Light of Light. He presents him to the world as its Lord; and whereas the Word was visible formerly to God alone, and invisible to the world which is made, God makes the Word visible in order that the world might see him and be able to be saved.
This is the mind which came forth into the world and was manifested as the Son of God. All things came into being through him, and he alone comes from the Father.
He gave us the Law and the prophets; and in giving them, he made them speak by the Holy Ghost, in order that, receiving the inspiration of the Father’s power, they might declare the Father’s counsel and will.
Thus, then, was the Word made manifest, even as the blessed John says. For he sums up the things that were said by the prophets, and shows that this is the Word, by whom all things were made. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him, and without him nothing was made. And later, The world was made by him, and the world did not know him; he came to his own, and his own did not receive him.
(Franciscan Roman Breviary)

Church Militant: Why did you write the book?

Roger and Karen Salstrom: Our intention in writing 95 Questions for Protestants was to address the misinformation circulating about Catholicism. We were most interested in publishing the book in this year of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant rebellion launched by so-called reformers in the 1500s. Roger, having come from a Methodist background, and Karen as a returning Catholic gone for 30-plus years gave us the perspective of having lived on both sides of the Tiber. Coming from outside Catholicism and then doing the hard work of discovering the truth of Catholicism, we felt that we had a balanced perspective to address what the Church teachings truly are as opposed to urban legends promoted. Ultimately, our goal was to lead people to further research and toward the fullness of truth.

It’s not only his book, however, that has been troublesome, but many things he has said in talks, tweets, writings and interviews that are causing alarm among faithful Catholics.

  • Fr. Martin supports transgenderism in children

  • Fr. Martin supports a dissident priest who promotes gay “marriage” and women “priests”

  • Fr. Martin publicly derides Catholics adhering to Church teaching on homosexuality as “homophobic” and “close-minded”

  • Fr. Martin affirms the idea of active gays kissing at Mass

  • Fr. Martin claims former homosexuals don’t lead a fully “integrated life”

  • Fr. Martin characterizes censured pro-gay nun Sr. Jeannine Gramick as worthy of sainthood

  • Fr. Martin publicly suggests that God created homosexuals that way

BLOGGER’S NOTE:  Father James Martin may I make a correction?  Someday Ex-Gays will be Saints in the Church.  If our Lord willed that those who have suffered in the past and now in the present merited Purgatory or Heaven because they despised their disorder I’m with the Christ.

This blogger supports the true teachings of the Catholic Church and stands with those who are Ex-Gay and the Courage Apostolate.

I also have compassion for those who oppose the teaching but I do not agree with you.

At this time Father James Martin should be removed from the Vatican.

Living the Truth the Church Teaches

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
