This is the headline over at Catholic News Online see the link below and click on it.  Dina and Maher El-Gohary are persecuted coptic Christians asking President Obama for help.  According to the website she and her father Maher are asking for help.

Dina and Maher are trapped in their home waiting for their possible death.  Many of our Coptic Christians are treated badly in Egypt.  According to some sources we allegedly give billions of dollars to this country.  A small minority of people in this country are Coptic Christian and we have it pretty good but your brothers and sisters around the world are not safe and free.

You don’t have to do anything except write your Representatives and the White House after you have read the article.  No one needs to know who you are but we have freedom in this country and it feels pretty good.

When King George went after us we didn’t run we fought hard for our freedom and rights.  I’m not saying this has to involve blood but it doesn’t take much to get on the web and contact your Reps and the President and ask for clemency for these people.

If any of our friends who serve Islam feel the same way I’m asking you that if you believe in peace and beauty in the human spirit please write your diplomats and representatives.  There is no shame in protecting life anywhere at anytime under any circumstances.

If any of our Jewish friends are out there I’m asking you also to write your Representatives.   I would definitely do it for you if asked to do so even if it meant my death.  It would be hard but I know in my heart and soul this is what Christ would ask of us even today.  If anyone knows any history of WWII we had courageous people and I hope still have this toady.
