“The Texas couple has neither federal nor state law on its side. Catholic non-profits such as Catholic Charities can receive public funds distributed to the bishops’ conference and go about their business—in this case running a foster care program—without crossing state and church lines, provided they do not engage in “intrinsically religious” activities, e.g. religious worship. Last year, Texas passed a religious liberty law that safeguards the right of agencies like Catholic Charities to turn away LGBT couples or prospective parents.

It is important to note that Catholic Charities Fort Worth expressly said, contrary to what was reported, that it does not refuse children in its foster care program who identify as LGBT. But it does matter who the foster parents are.”

+J.M.J.+ This is a talk given by Fr. Michael Rodríguez on October 6, 2017, in observance of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (Oct. 7th) and the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun (Oct. 13th). The talk covers three main themes: A Terrible Crisis in the Papacy, the Letter of Filial Correction, and the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions.
Fr. Rodríguez makes an urgent plea to all of the world’s Catholics, especially those who are not familiar with the Traditional Latin Mass, but do have a sincere desire to be good and faithful Catholics.
Fr. Rodríguez explains three great signs which God is giving us, thereby calling us to convert back to Him and to the true Catholic religion of 2000 years. These three signs from Heaven are: (1) the frightening crisis in the Papacy, (2) the historic “Letter of Filial Correction” and (3) the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun.
Fr. Rodríguez is one of the signatories of the Letter of Filial Correction of Pope Francis. Fr. Rodríguez explains both the Letter of Filial Correction, and how faithful Catholics must respond to the present, nearly unprecedented, crisis in the Papacy. He concludes with a brief teaching on the Message of Our Lady of Fatima.
This is a must see video for all Catholics who desire to be faithful to God and the Church in the midst of a terrible crisis in the papacy.
Here is a petition which all can sign in support of the filial correction, linked here:

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput

“Chaput said that one book that takes the right approach to Christian teaching on homosexuality is the new book from Ignatius Press, Why I Don’t Call Myself Gay by Daniel Mattson.

The archbishop quoted from Mattson’s book to highlight the shortcomings he noted in Martin’s book:

We cannot remain reluctant to speak about the beauty of the Church’s teaching on sexuality and sexual identity for fear that it will appear ‘unloving,’ ‘irrational,’ or ‘unreal.’  We need to love the world enough to speak about the Christian vision of sexual reality, confident that God’s creation of man as male and female is truly part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ we are called to proclaim to a lost and confused world.

We need to be a light for the world and speak passionately about the richness of the Church’s understanding of human sexuality. We can’t place the Good News of the Church’s teaching on human sexuality under a bushel any longer, for the world desperately needs the truth we have.”
