“Those who protest against President Trump this week too easily forget where our true friendships lie.

Fevered anti-Americanism is an especially grave error in the context of the rise of an increasingly aggressive China. And calling out the nature of Chinese Communism is not the personal preserve of the President.
There is only one area where there is near unanimity in Washington DC: China policy.
From Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in the Democrats to Marco Rubio and Mike Pence in the Republicans, China is a unifying issue in American politics today. Trump’s China stance is not seen to be eccentric or extreme in Washington, it is the new American mainstream.
And with good reason.
American concerns about China rightly recognise both their grievous human rights record at home, and the threat they pose to the international rules-based order.
We must not underestimate the serious dangers posed by China’s increasingly aggressive behaviour on the world stage combined with its increasingly repressive behaviour towards its own people.”

“McCulloch also noted that it is not the pro-life groups filming women entering the clinic but Sister Supporters members, saying, “There is no evidence of us filming outside the clinic.”A blog post from May says that it is the feminists that are filming women entering the clinic. They posted the featured picture and wrote, “Here is one of their male ‘feminists’ filming a woman who has just entered, who our Counsellor to the left of the gate was speaking to.” They go on to say that after the Good Counsel Network took this picture, Sister Supporters members “are standing in the street screaming that our Counsellors are filming women going in because we took photos of them filming women going in.”

McColloch also argues that the counter-protests by the pro-abortion activists are the cause of the distress. Sister Supporters regularly send 20-40 protesters while Good Counsel Network has two members, passing out leaflets and listening to the stories of the women who are considering abortion. “Women going in don’t often know who’s who, they just see a bunch of people outside a clinic,”McColloch explains. “

“Speaking Wednesday, PM Theresa May, elevated to the office in July following the resignation of David Cameron, described the rise of “safe spaces” as “quite extraordinary,” all the while cautioning the self-censorship and insulation that come with the policies could be detrimental to both the British economy and society.

The remarks came following a question posed to the prime minister by Conservative MP Victoria Atkins, who asserted “safe spaces” on university campuses foster a “sense of entitlement” with “a minority of students” that effectively “shuts down debate.”

This is the history of England and the Catholic Church during the time of the Catholic Terror at the hands of the Monarchy of Henry VIII.

QUOTED FROM ABOVE LINKS FOR READING:

“The Pilgrimage of Grace

The rising in the North, in 1536, was the first collective response of the Catholic population to Henry VIII’s destruction of monastic life in Britain. The insurgents, most of them commoners, called their movement the “Pilgrimage of Grace,” thereby stressing that their main purpose was the defence of the Catholic faith. This could be seen in their petition to the King, known as the York Articles. The first article read: “The suppression of so many religious houses as are at this instant time suppressed, whereby the service of our God is not well performed but also the commons of your realm be unrelieved, the which as we think is a great hurt to the common wealth and many sisters be put from their livings and left at large – we believe this to be to a great detriment of common good.”

The oath taken by thousands of insurgents on October 17, 1536 also had the character of collective witness. It went as follows: “Ye shall not enter into this our Pilgrimage of Grace for the commonwealth, but only for the love that ye do bear unto Almighty God his faith, and to Holy Church militant and the maintenance thereof; to the preservation of the King’s person and his issue, to the purifying of the nobility, and to expulse all villain blood and evil councillors against the commonwealth from his Grace and his Privy Council of the same. And that ye shall not enter into our said Pilgrimage for no particular profit to yourself, nor to do any displeasure to any private person, but by counsel of the commonwealth, nor slay nor murder for no envy, but in your hearts put away all fear and dread, and take afore you the Cross of Christ, and in your hearts His faith, the restitution of the Church, the suppression of these heretics and their opinions.”

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
